Saddle Up in the strength and knowledge of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:17, Proverbs 9:10) We are entering significant dates and times on God’s calendar. Each one needs our focused prayer. God reminds us in Isaiah that He is in charge, not those who plot schemes to overthrow His will. Isaiah 40:22 “He sits above the circle of the earth. The people below are like grasshoppers to him!” Remember that Saddle Up not only means “get ready to ride,” but also means “you are ready and prepared for this assignment.” We are living in challenging but also EXCITING times.
Hebrew Month of Nisan
(March 18-April 17) Appointed Dates and Times

- Nisan 10 – March 28 – Yom HaAliyah Day – Day to celebrate Aliyah, immigration to the Jewish State of Israel. This day is to recognize Aliyah, as a core value of the state of Israel and honor the contributions of “olim” (immigrants) to their new homeland. It is celebrated on Nisan 10 because it is believed this is the date the Israelites crossed the Jordan River into the Promised Land.
- Pray for all the “olim” who bravely came to Israel since October 7, 2023.
- Pray they will grow deep roots in their homeland that God promised them.
- Pray all Jews who want to make Aliyah WILL!
- Nisan 14 – April 1 – PASSOVER – Exodus 12-14 – Passover Lambs are slaughtered, and the Passover meal (Seder) is eaten. This is a celebration and a rehearsal of the children of Israel’s deliverance from Egypt – Leviticus 23:4-5. II Corinthians 5:7

- Pray for a meaningful and joyous Passover for all Jews worldwide.
- Pray for safety – Israelis may have to celebrate Passover in their bomb shelters.
- Nisan 15 – 21 – April 2 – 9 – Feast of Unleavened Bread – No leaven is to be eaten. This is a symbol of two things: 1. They left Egypt in a hurry, so there was no time for the bread to rise. 2. Leven is a symbol of sin. God delivered them from Egypt so they could worship and serve God who is HOLY. – Leviticus 23:6-8
- Pray that this Passover will be a time of spiritual refreshing.
- Pray for families to have a pause in the war to reconnect, laugh, and remember they are chosen of God for a special purpose. Deuteronomy 7:6-8
- April 5 – Easter (Resurrection Sunday) – Feast of First Fruits – Leviticus 23:9-14 – A specific date is not given for the Feast of First Fruits. It is described as the day following the Sabbath. This is referring to the Sabbath that follows Passover. Passover is at the beginning of the barley harvest. The first sheaves of the barley harvest are to be brought to the Temple and given as a wave offering to the Lord. I Corinthians 15:20-23
- As the war continues, farmers in Israel are in danger of losing their spring crops. Pray for a great harvest despite the war.
- Pray for volunteers to help the farmers reap their crops.
