HOSTAGES RELEASED!
Remember our word for 2026 is SADDLE UP. We are assured by the Lord that we are equipped and ready for whatever prayer assignments He gives us. All Hostages Are Free!
On January 26, 2026, our prayers were answered as SFC Ran Gvili’s body, the last hostage held in Gaza, was returned to his family to be buried in his hometown of Meitar. Soldiers of the IDF worked tirelessly until they located his body. Gvili was killed defending Kibbutz Alumim, and his body was taken hostage by Hamas terrorists.
On October 7, 2023, Gvili, a member of an elite police unit, was at a hospital waiting to undergo surgery for a broken shoulder when he learned of Hama’s attack. He rushed home to put on his uniform and headed south to Kibbutz Alumim. Ran Gvili is credited with rescuing more than 100 people who fled the Nova Festival. At his funeral, Prime Minister Netanyahu said, “The closing of the grave of Ran Gvili seals a painful reality of the presence of Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip. All of them, the living and the deceased, have been brought home from enemy territory.” This is the first time in fourteen years that there are no Israelis being held hostage in Gaza! Prayer for Released Hostages, Their Families, and Israel
- Pray for mental, physical, and emotional healing for each hostage. Exodus 15:26
- Pray for the hostages to be able to return to the workforce in Israel. Deuteronomy 8:18
- Pray for the families of hostages to find peace and joy. Psalm 29:11
- Pray for the people of Israel to move from grief to joy, hope, and healing. Jeremiah 29:11
What Is Next For Gaza?
The Gaza Peace Plan laid out by President Trump has several phases. The first phase has two major parts. One condition is that all hostages were to be returned to Israel. It has taken 840 days, but with the return of Ran Gvilli’s body, this has been accomplished. A second condition is that Hamas must disarm. As of this writing, that has NOT happened. President Trump has said that if they do not disarm, they will be disarmed militarily.
The purpose of this plan is to rebuild Gaza, establish a security force, and a Board of Peace. The Board of Peace consists of representatives of nations invited by President Trump. The vision is to establish a prosperous and peaceful region that also ensures Israel’s security. Hamas will have no presence in any part of this plan.
Prayer For The Gaza Peace Plan:
- Pray Hamas will peacefully disarm and leave the Gaza Strip permanently. Psalm 143:12
- Pray that all those who were either involved in the murder of Israelis on October 7, the torture of hostages, or aided and abetted those who did be brought to justice. Romans 12:9, Psalm 54:5
- Pray no decisions will be made that are NOT in Israel’s BEST interest. Isaiah 54:17, Job 5:12
- Pray that the communities attacked by Hamas will be rebuilt, and Israelis will choose to move to these communities to help build and strengthen them. Psalm 71:20-21 NLT
Fighting Antisemitism
Antisemitism is not just a negative attitude or hateful actions against Jews. It is a DEMONIC stronghold that produces plots and plans that demons and people agree with and act on to destroy the Jews and God’s covenant with them. The fight against antisemitism is a spiritual fight. To be effective, we must be armed with the sword of the Spirit, the WORD OF GOD! It is important to understand God’s purpose for and His covenant with Israel.

Prayer Against Antisemitism – II Corinthians 10:3-4, Matthew 21:22
- Pray that antisemitic strongholds in the Congress of the United States be destroyed.
- Pray for the removal of elected members and staff who are antisemitic.
- Pray that financial resources will dry up that fund the election of antisemitic candidates for Congress.
- Pray for revelation from God’s word to inspire Christians in the United States to take a stand against antisemitism in their workplace.
Prayer For President Trump, Prime Minister Netanyahu, and Pastor John Hagee – I Timothy 2:1-4, Isaiah 11:2
- Pray these men will have the Spirit of Might so they will have the strength of mind and body to do the will of God.
- Pray for the Spirit of Wisdom so they will know exactly what they are to do at this appointed time.
